DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE
Making it possible
Digital infrastructure is the backbone of digital transformation, playing a crucial role in enabling efficient, accessible, and inclusive digital services. Key components such as optic fibre cables, cellular base stations, data centers, and IXPs are essential for seamless internet connectivity and data storage. However, significant investments, regulatory support, and public-private partnerships are necessary to overcome challenges such as high capital costs, regulatory obstacles, and cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
DIGITAL GOVERNANCE
Digital engagement and service delivery
Digitalization has become central to endeavors to transform public services and improve citizens lives. Strategic digitalization across governmental functions would require policy long term policy framework that take a systems view and enable strong public private partnerships.
DIGITAL ECONOMY
Value creation through connectivity
The digital economy leverages advancements in digital finance and e-commerce to enhance financial transactions and operational efficiency. Investments in digital education are crucial for developing a skilled workforce, while digital transformation in SMEs and agriculture boosts efficiency and sustainability. Public-private partnerships are essential for addressing challenges and fostering innovation.
DIGITAL SOCIETY
Inclusion through digital
There is a need to shift more digital services to be built around citizen needs in Pakistan. A Digital Society will develop services centered around stakeholders, addressing the needs of both citizens and businesses. Interacting with stakeholders will be characterized by ease, seamlessness, and security. Additionally, citizens will have opportunities to consistently enhance their skills, adapt to evolving challenges, and collaborate efficiently across agencies, fostering partnerships with citizens and businesses.
